Sparkles Permanent Cosmetics and Beauty Development in Calabash, NC, opened its doors in March 2016. The owner and artist, known as Sparkles, has been passionate about the beauty industry for most of her life. Crystal is highly trained, with advanced education and skills that set her apart from the average beautician. Her extensive skill set and keen ability to customize and perfect with precision are key to her success as a veteran in the beauty industry.
Crystal has been a licensed cosmetologist since 2005, a master of sunless bronzing since 2008, completed advanced eyelash training in 2010, and has been a permanent makeup artist since 2016. She is a proud member of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals (SPCP) and has earned the Certified Permanent Cosmetic Professional (CPCP) title through rigorous examination.
In recent years, Crystal has traveled to Las Vegas, Orlando, Philadelphia, and Long Beach, California, to join her pro team and colleagues from around the world for advanced training. She will also be attending a three-day conference in Fort Worth, Texas, in October for additional education. One of the highlights of her career is helping people, a natural desire she was blessed with, along with the talents required in this field. Crystal enjoys giving back to women who have battled breast cancer with her 3D areola procedure, considering it an honor to help.
Crystal has recently opened a new location in the Triangle to welcome her guests and perform her procedures. She proudly received her 10th tattoo inspection and permit in her professional permanent makeup career. She believes in the motto, “Wake up with makeup! Life is busy and tough. One less thing to deal with while you are looking and feeling your best self, living your best life!”
